Improved controls led to 18% reduction in production labour, 40% reduction in despatch labour, elimination of unnecessary WIP in production, faster and more accurate invoicing and greater awareness of costs and margins across the business.

Client - Leading Public Hospital - Dublin

The project’s aim was to address the poor utilisation of 6 operating theatre suites. Utilisation was improved by establishing norms for surgical procedures, developing & agreeing capacity planning model for generation of surgical lists, & improving co-ordination & communication between admissions, ward managers, porters & theatre staff. Improved utilisation levels were measured and reported weekly to CEO.

Client - Major plant & tool hire player, multiple depots

Defined, agreed & rolled out profit focused depot management practices to all depots. Audited depots to ensure operational consistency and profit focus across the network. Subsequent improvements contributed to+€750,000 in improved profitability via higher transport, fuel & repair recoveries, better hire rates, higher fleet utilisations and profitable asset disposals.

Client - Manufacturer / Start Up

Company was incurring substantial, unbudgeted losses 12+ months after start up. Coached production team in best practice techniques, implemented production cells, kanbans, hourly output/quality measurement & problem solving on the shop floor. Dramatically reduced waste/reject levels, reduced wage costs and higher productivity all contributed to improving gross margin from minus 46% to +40% and net profitability.

Client - Irish Bakery - 135 employees

Leading Irish bakery brand supplying multiple & independent retailers nationwide. Implemented a productivity improvement programme. The results substantially improved efficiencies, reduced downtime and trimmed costs. Programme had a significant impact with gross profits improving by 7% points and net margin doubling over a 2 year period.
