We succeed in achieving substantial results for clients for the following reasons:
- We assess the client’s current situation and agree, with the client where they want to get to (Current State – Future State).
- We design and agree a timetabled programme aimed at achieving the agreed future state & addressing the obstacles currently blocking that path to improvement.
- We work hard to ensure the programme is “owned by” and supported by the key senior people in the organisation – not by ourselves.
- We approach all programmes in a hands on, energetic & transparent manner – we avoid jargon and work hard with staff at all levels to get everyone on board by communicating in sensible and transparent terms what the objectives of the programme is.
- Our programmes typically involve training in & implementation of, appropriate tools and techniques that have achieved results in other organisations. These tools vary programme to programme but there are certain principles that are common to all programmes:
- Measurement - “What gets measured gets managed” - the implementation of systems to factually measure the performance of the area, team or department concerned.
- Value Added Analysis – Mapping out the processes that are undertaken in the area and identifying the process steps that add value and those that don’t (waste).
- Problem Solving – Identifying what the root causes are of the non value added activities or obstacles are and how they can be eliminated or minimised.
- Visual Management & Teamwork – Communicating results so problems & improvements are visible to all team members in understandable terms.
- Some of the techniques, tools and terminology are described in Tools & Techniques.
- We measure the return on investment of our programmes as transparently as possible so client’s can see for themselves the financial impact of the programme.
